Freeway

Freeway are located in Kinmel Bay, Rhyl, North Wales. It is also the site of the Prism Medical UK Headquarters. New product development and the manufacture of hoists, shower chairs and stretchers for the UK group of companies is based at Kinmel Bay. The Kinmel Bay site also includes showroom and training facilities. Freeway branded products are supplied to the other Prism Divisions and sold via a network of Prism dealers/agents. Freeway has been part of Prism Medical UK since 2004.

Prism Medical UK is the new name for the group of companies which includes: Westholme, Freeway, Carefree, Test Valley, Saluss, Assured Patient Lifting Services (APLS), Liftech and Movement2. The parent company being Prism Medical Ltd, based in Toronto, Canada - who also have subsidiaries in the United States. Prism Medical are providers of specialist equipment for the safer moving and handling of the mobility disadvantaged within their homes, long term care or acute environment.

Prism Medical UK has over 20 years experience in developing and supplying moving, handling, and bathing equipment, as well as working closely with the clients and caregivers who use them. Prism employs over 250 staff based across 7 sites in the UK. Established in 1993.
